Today was going to be my last day in Bilbao which made me extremely upset. I woke up at 10 o'clock but since Maitane was still asleep I decided to just stay in bed and be on my phone for a little while. At 11 o'clock her mother woke her up and then we went downstairs for breakfast. After breakfast I took a shower and when I came out it was time to say good bye to her father, since he had to leave earlier because he had to go out for lunch. He bought me a small present, a purse, which was extremely sweet. After that it was time for me to start packing, which took me quite some time. After I finished packing Ane, one of Maitane's friends, came over because after they would have said good bye to me at the airport they would go to a festival. The three of us had lunch together, lasange and yoghurt with muesli. But after that it was really time to go :(. We arrived at the airport within 10 minutes since it was only a very short drive and since the airport of Bilbao is quite small it was not busy at all. We decided to check in immediately and then we waited for a few minutes and talked about the holiday that Maitane and her friends would go on in July, which would be in the Netherlands! We looked at several options for a new meet-up and then we went so a small souvenir shop. After that it was time to go through the security and since that was the point where only travellers could go, we had to say good bye. It was quite sad and Maitane and I both started crying. After I went through security I went to a shop to buy a bottle of coke so I had something to drink during my flight and when I went to the gate we could already get into the plane so it all went pretty fast. When I sat in the plane we left within 15 minutes since all the passengers got there in time, so we could leave a bit earlier. The flight went alright even though we had some turbulence, but they already warned us for that since the wind was quite heavy. At 19:20 I landed in Amsterdam, but since we landed at the polderbaan it was still a pretty long drive until we actually arrived at the airport itself. Then I had to wait for suitcase and since it was really busy, that took quite some time as well. After that I walked to the arrival hall where my parents would be but since it was quite busy I did not see them at first. But my mother immediately came to me and hugged me since she was so happy to saw me again. We were all quite happy so we sat down for a minute to discuss the first few things and then it was time to get to the car. When we arrived to the car we could leave immediately and while we were driving we decided to eat something at van der valk in breukelen. We had a lovely dinner and then we drove home. When I came home my parents sticked several 'welcome home' notes through the entire street which was pretty funny and also very sweet. As soon as I got home I unpacked my suitcase and went to bed since I was very very very tired. And at the end of the day, nothing sleeps better than your own bed! I fell asleep immediately and I think the biggest reason for that was that I could really look back on 2 extremely wonderful weeks that I will never ever ever forget!
